Exam board: OCR Art and Design: Photography
GCSE Photography is a creative course, designed for students who enjoy experimenting with imagery, art and photographs. The course follows the same marking criteria as Art GCSE. The course requires students to have a real interest in taking photographs. Throughout the course students will develop their knowledge of photographers and develop ideas using a range of photographic processes and techniques. Experimentation with cameras, lighting, visual elements, hand manipulation and editing (Photoshop) will be the basis of the course. It is really useful for students to have a camera, although not essential, as we can provide some DSLR and Bridge cameras in lessons. Our aim is to develop skills to enable students to produce effective, creative, quality and professional photographs/outcomes.
